Beware of impostors and
imitations
The
only genuine PÕQ members and PÕQ servers are the
ones listed on this website.
The PÕQ Clan and our servers are very popular as a result of our clean gaming policies and our skillfully modified Halo server maps.
Unfortunately that means we are also a popular target for the
impostors and imitators.
We know that many people enjoy clean gaming without foul
language and
cheats, so we hold players on our servers to that standard.
Unfortunately a few people have created servers that are intended to be
deceptively similar to ours, but with much much lower standards. In
some cases these people have used our clan's name and our
modded maps without our permission, and have encouraged people
to act as impostor members of our clan.
We do not oppose their choice to have low standards for themselves,
but we do take offense that they are trying to benefit
from our good name and our maps, and are creating
misinformation and confusion about our clan and our servers.
We encourage you to avoid their servers (listed at the bottom of this
page) and instead stick with the genuine
PÕQ Clan
servers. Thank you.
Impostors
(fake PÕQ members)
Our Clan members
generally use names that start
with PÕQ~
or PõQ~ but
impostors will sometimes use names that are similar or identical to our
Clan
names.
If
you have any doubts that you are dealing with a genuine PÕQ
member you can write directly to the Clan Leaders by using our Contact
Form. There are also a couple of ways that you can contact
individual members:
1) On our Forums
you can send a
"Private Message" to a member (or post a public
message for all to read). In order to create messages, you
must register
first.
2) On the Members page of
this website there
are links to each member's Xfire profile page. From there you
can
"Send a Message" to a member (similar to email) or "Add to Friends" to
initiate a chat. For chat you need to download
the Xfire client, but to send a message you only need to create
an ID at the Xfire website.
Imitations
(fake PÕQ servers)
Some Halo servers are named deceptively to appear to
be genuine PÕQ servers. These imitation servers can also be a haven for
PÕQ member impostors.
Another method of imitating PÕQ servers is to use unauthorized
copies of
the PÕQ-modified maps with few or no changes at all.
Unfortunately PÕQ members cannot enforce our clean gaming policies or
assist with any trouble you encounter on non-PÕQ servers, so the
quality of play
is likely to be degraded on these imitation servers.
Always refer to this website for the
list of genuine
PÕQ servers.
