Copy of Halo $20. PC $1000. Time to catch up on my
reading now that I've been banned, priceless.

PÕQ Clan Ban Removal
Banned
players must follow this process. There are no shortcuts.
Step
1:
Open the banlist page of the server you were banned
from.

Step
2:
Find your player name on the banlist.
Newer bans tend to be toward the bottom of the list. A quick way to
find your name is to use your browser's Find feature (usually Ctrl-F).
If
this isn't your first time being banned on this server then also try
looking for the name you were using when you were first banned.
Can't
find your name?
Bans are linked to the CD Key Hash. If you aren't the
only person using your Halo license key (eg. you borrowed it or share
it) then someone else using it may
have caused your CD Key Hash to be banned under their name. There is no
fix for this other than getting your own licensed copy of Halo.
Found
your name listed, but you've never been banned?
Because names are not reserved in Halo, you may not be the only person
who has used that name. Players
with the same name will not be effected by the ban because it is linked
to the CD Key Hash, not the name.
Step
3:
When you find your name, note the Ban
End Date and the Ban
Count.
If
there is no Ban End
Date (--) then your ban is
permanent.
You'll have to proceed to Step 4 if you have
any hope of ever
getting on that server again.
If
there is a Ban End Date
then your ban is temporary.
It is most likely that you
were auto-banned
by the server for
excessive Team
Killing (betraying your teammates). Lucky for
you, you will automatically
be unbanned on the
Ban End Date. But you need to learn a lesson from this experience
because the penalties keep going up.
The length of an auto-ban depends on how many times you have previously
been banned (the Ban Count).

Don't
even bother asking if you
can be unbanned before the Ban End Date. You can't.
The server keeps very
good track of Team Killing, so your ban isn't an error. And we don't
want to
hear excuses about why it happened. You did the
crime, now do the time.
While you're waiting for your ban to end, you
should brush up on our Game Server
Rules.
It is also possible, though less likely, that you may have received a
temorary ban from a PÕQ Clan
member, and they can set the ban for any duration. But if a Clan member
catches you breaking our server rules then you're probably going to get
a permanent
ban, not a temporary one.
Step
4:
Skip
this step for now if you found a temporary ban in Step 3.
But keep up the bad behavior and you'll be in this situation
soon enough.
If there is no Ban End Date
on your ban then you are in a
heap of trouble. You
somehow earned yourself a permanent ban.
There are two ways to get a permanent ban. Either you auto-banned
yourself up to the top penalty level (check your Ban Count against the
table in Step 3), or a PÕQ Clan member caught you
breaking the rules and gave you a permanent administrative ban. And
yes, we do
operate undercover sometimes to
catch you rule-breakers in action.
If you want to get back on that server, you probably have a lot of
explaining and apologizing to do. We consider these servers our home
and we don't want people in our home if they can't behave themselves.
So first you should brush up on our Game
Server
Rules so that you fully understand why you are in trouble.
Yes, you can dispute whether you broke the rules, and we will correct
any mistakes made by our members. But be warned that we may
have a log of what led up to your permanent ban, and we don't take
kindly to liars. So be careful before you decide to accuse a PÕQ Clan
member of getting it wrong, because you may find yourself banned on ALL
the PÕQ Clan servers if you fail to make your case.
OK, you still want to try to get back on that server? Then first register on our forums if
you don't already have an account there. Once you are
registered, you can go to our forum's "Unban Requests" section and post
your request. Be certain you read the first message in that section,
titled "** If
you want to be unbanned, READ THIS! **", because it has
important information about the format you should use for your request.
Sorry that you found yourself in this trouble, but we have certain
standards to uphold on our servers. Play clean. Follow the rules.
That's all we ask.
Thanks,
- PÕQ Leaders
